I thought I would write a little on mercury retrograde this time from the astronomical alignment (Fagan Allen "sidereal" or star time system which attempts to mirror the astronomical movements in the sky as we see it with our eyes, not the trajectory of the Sun in space where we are not incarnated). In my quiet work behind the scenes to reconnect to ancient star wisdom and our star ancestors and star home-places, I have come into a deep communion with Scorpiuchus (lol, a long time ago Ophiuchus and Scorpio were one constellation, one I personally see as the "shaman" or Cernnunos on the Gundestrup Cauldron). It speaks most vividly to me in respect towards the connection between our collective time (wheel of the year) and Divine time (star time) in the way that we are always supported where we are in our Individual time through these two larger bodies of movement.
Post Samhain and Pre Winter Solstice puts us in a liminal space within the liminal space of darkness, where as what is dying sheds away in our open surrender, there is a kernel of light peeking through, a call of remembrance we are sensing. This is the light of the reborn Sun, not yet reborn of course, anchoring its light within us individually. This time, I feel strongly that it is in the energies of Mercury Retrograde as we go very deep (Scorpio's thing you know) within to retrieve and transmute feelings we buried.
More specifically we speak to moments where we probably did not have the space to experience what was happening and feel the feelings. Sometimes, with Scorpio, we hide or conceal energy in order to defend or protect ourselves. To experience genetic transmutation, a symbolic or literal death, and also then feel all the way through that can be overwhelming, espeically since we have long forgotten the honored traditions of death rites and what it actually entails. This mercury retrograde says:
"You might have thought it through, reconciled mentally, and logically understood and moved on, but you did not feel through this and this and that, and now it's time."
And so in this two week period of the retrograde, as these feeling come up, whether they are subtle, in dreams, or really big and unexpected, you. can consciously allow it, knowing that you are making space in your body by feeling the feelings. It happens now because it is safe and supported and equally related to whatever is seeking to shine through in preparation for winter solstice rebirth.
Knowing where this retrograde falls in your natal chart will be very useful as Scorpio tends to go beyond our individual healing and illuminates where that healing is part of a larger, ancestral wound we can contribute to reconciling. Just know that in your feeling all the way through you are going to likely be asked to let go of the self that was connected to it as well. Scorpio is soul deep and painstakingly thorough in its oath to transmute genetics that are in need.

And remember, the retrograde is for the shedding and becoming aware and the feeling and the transmutation. Post shadow, when Scorpio Mercury goes back over 11-27 Scorpio is for the rewrite, whatever that means for you.

So it's not just two-ish weeks of retrograde, but the forward growth of post shadow as well, which will carry you through solstice. Again, showing you how the Divine Sphere of time, and the collective/ancestral sphere of time always show up to support us through the threshold moments of our lives.
